Hapi is a privacy-first mobile application that allows users to perform simple health checks against API endpoints they configure themselves. The app is designed to operate primarily on-device, without user accounts or a proprietary backend.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

Information We Collect

On-Device Data

All endpoint configuration, request results, and history are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device.

This includes:

  • Endpoint names and URLs you configure
  • HTTP status codes and response times
  • Locally stored request history (based on app tier)

Analytics (Anonymous)

Hapi uses PostHog and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage metrics, such as:

  • Number of endpoints configured
  • Endpoints added or removed
  • Feature usage events

No endpoint URLs, request payloads, response bodies, or personally identifiable information are collected.

Crash Reporting

Hapi uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data. This information is used solely to improve app stability and reliability.

Network Requests

Hapi only makes network requests to API endpoints explicitly entered by you. The app does not communicate with any proprietary Hapi or API Alerts backend services.

Payments

Payments are processed exclusively through Apple App Store and Google Play In-App Purchases. Hapi uses RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. No payment information is stored or processed by the developer.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • No user accounts or profiles
  • No authentication credentials
  • No endpoint request or response payloads
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No precise location data

Data Retention

  • All operational data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
  • Analytics and crash data are retained according to Firebase and PostHog retention policies

Your Rights

You may:

  • Remove all app data at any time by uninstalling the app
  • Contact us with questions about data handling or privacy

Children's Privacy

Hapi is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. No data is knowingly collected from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, within the app.
